Dawn Corbett

Hello! My name is Dawn Corbett; I'm currently a Silo Rebel Elementary Teacher.  I enjoy reading, writing, teaching and spending time with my family and friends. I have 3 wonderful children and 7 even more wonderful grandchildren. They are the light of my life, and the reason why the TWEENS series has a special place in my heart. They are the inspiration behind my characters.
I earned my bachelors degree at Southeastern State University in Durant, OK; I have continued my education through Chadron State College and Rasmussen taking various classes. I have been in education for 17 years. I began my teaching career in the Elem. Library, I have taught MS/HS Alternative Educ., and 6th Reading/Writing at Kingston Public Schools in Kingston, OK; I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Special Education at Douglas ISD in Douglas, WY; and I taught Kindegarten and 1st Grade PE, and worked in MS/HS Special Educ. classroom at Bennington ISD, in Bennington, OK.
I'd like to say thank you to:
Sandee Westmoreland and Carolyn Fajardo.

I had to place both hands on my keyboard and set them in motion. My journey as a published author begin with Sandee Westmoreland by my side. She inspired me, gave me ideas and edited my wonderful work of art.

I couldn't have a more dedicated and supportive friend, Carolyn Fajardo. I've known Carolyn for many years and our friendship never grows old. She gave me courage and inspired me to continue on my journey. She told me I could NOT give up.

Thank you both for your love and support throughout my life and this book journey.

Sandee Westmoreland

At the age of four, Sandee Westmoreland walked four blocks with her brothers and sister to a magical place: the city library. Even at such a young age, she began to dream of writing a book and seeing it on the library shelf. Followed Paths, her first novel, is an inspirational story for teens and young adults who are about to embark on their own journey down life’s path.

For over 20 years, Ms. Westmoreland has taught in small rural schools in Southern Oklahoma and served as a school Library/Media Specialist. She is the mother of two daughters, two sons-in-law, and a grandmother of three. She is also a “pom mom” to two adorable Pomeranians.
